I agree with Cherry when she said "Things are rough all over." The Greasers have it bad. They have a rough life and have to deal with bad things. But so do the Socs. They probably have just as many problems as the Greasers. We know that the Greasers problems are with other gangs, money, school, and not being treated right by other people. The Socs problems could be with their parents, friends, school, and anything. They could have simiular problems.
Jade- Nice job. You made some really good points. I agree that although they both have difficult lives, they have different problems for the most part. I think that's the whole point of the book. We shouldn't blame our problems on where we live. No matter where we live, we are bound to have difficulties. -Miss L
